Patients should be reminded and reassured of the following:

• It may take several weeks to several months to appreciate the benefits of Tracleer^®
  • These benefits may include both those that patients will feel and those they will not feel
• Stabilisation is often considered a treatment success in a naturally progressive disease and is particularly important in patients with PAH associated with systemic sclerosis
• Chronic disease requires long-term therapy; compliance is key

If patients comply with their medication they can expect to experience

• Improvements in their ability to perform everyday activities
• Improvement in their functional and exercise capacity
• Reduced breathlessness
